Robert Shane Boyce (Born February 25th, 1993) is an American rapper, singer, songwriter. Born in East Flatbush, Shane found his passion for writing after the passing of his uncle whom he looked up to in 2003 at the age of 10. Shane’s very first written raps were reminiscent of the times (Lloyd Banks, The Game, Kanye West, Common) who continue to prove as inspiration in his writings today. However, Shane’s first recorded verses didn’t come until 2018 when he decided to get serious about his talent and paired with his longtime friend and acclaimed producer, Artivist from Jamaica, Queens. Since then, Shane has gone on to release two Ep’s along with a handful of singles as he continues to build his catalogue.

“The Shaman” is a self-given title born from the spiritual and mental journey that brought Shane to where and who he is today, and is also a play on the name of another one of his favorite artists Tyler, The Creator and Del, The Funky Homosapien.
